brad paisley

i was lucky enough to go to the brad paisley concert the other day with a few friends, one of his songs really made us think.its called A letter to me. its pretty much his life story and looking back on it. hes says in it "youve got so much going for you, going right. but i know, at 17 its hard to see past friday night." and i can only completely agree, being only 14 i know i still have alot of time left but im also not in charge of when my time stops. so if i could write a letter to me, i would want this songs message on the notebook paper. it captures whats really important, the friends and family, the memories, the moments and everything in between. im so grateful for everybody and everything im blessed with. and to everybody else who seems to do everything that annoys me, seeya.

long time no see

time flies doesnt it?

emily and i have neglected posting not by decision but because of our busy schedules, and kylie's still grounded.

but dont worry, im back!(i as in elle)

thanks to pinterest i found somehting h i l a r i o u s. but its also super cute. enjoy..

id rather live a life of oh wells than what ifs.

anybody who has not discovered the fabulous world of pinterest.com, i suggest you visit it immediately. i have an account and im in love with it. now, this post is not to persuade, but i want to show you something(s) i found on there. the pictures are my versions that i made with a friend. i'd also like to point out that i am not a crafty person, so you can see the flaws in the crafts, but they add character. enjoy my pinterest obsession & try them for yourself!

project 1:

requires:
  • a canvas board
  • paint color of your choice
  • alphabet stickers
  • an inspiring quote
  • sponge brushes
directions:
  1. spell out your quote onto the canvas using the stickers
  2. rub each one individually to make sure they stick(important!)
  3. brush the paint over the stickers and allow to dry
  4. peel the stickers off to reveal the canvas quote!

project 2:

requires:
  •  canvas board
  • pack of crayons ( # of crayons depends on the size of board)
  • hot glue gun
  • hair dryer
directions:
  1. arrange crayons in color order, lightest to darkest
  2. hot glue them to the top of the canvas, one by one
  3. blow dry the crayons until the wax melts
  4. allow to dry and harden

newspaper nails!

a few things to know:

kylie, one of our fabulous bloggers has been revoked of her blogging privileges. (her parents grounded her) . and we can't wait to hear from her when she can come back.  so from hear on its me & emily!
on a lighter note, we have 10 days tell christmas!

i also have a new obbsession- newspaper nails. little newspaper cut outs are made into adorable nail toppers! whats not to love?  heres how to:

  • cut 10 pieces of newspaper, big enough to cover each nail
  • paint your nails and let them dry, dont apply topcoat yet. (light colors work best)
  • once dry, dip a single nail into a small bowl of alcohol, let sit in the bowl for about 10 seconds
  • while the nail is still wet lightly press the newspaper clipping on the nail, should take about 5 seconds
  • pull the clipping off to reveal the ink stain from the newspaper! apply topcoat to lock the ink in.
stay fabulous,
elle
